Zoo Trip

Yesterday we went to the zoo. We did lots of activates like scavenger hunts, quiz.
We went to learn how they inspire the animals.
One way they inspire the animals is they put puzzles in there cage.
My favourite part was the scavenger hunt because we got to explore the zoo.
The challenging part was the quiz because it was hard to find the answers.
My favourite animal was the Kune Kune Pig because they look cute and are messy.

Dirty Dessert

Last Thursday we had a special surprise! The teacher brought Chocolate yogurt, Oreos, Gummy worms and we made a dirty dessert.

How to make a Dirt Dessert.
Goal: To eat dirt and worms.
Materials:Chocolate Yogurt, Cup, Oreos, Spoon, Snap lock bag and Hand Sanitiser.
Steps:
Step 1:Hand Sanitiser your hands.
Step 2:Grab your cup and chocolate yogurt.
Step 3:Squeeze the yogurt into the cup.
Step 4:Grab a snap lock bag and oreos the put the oreos in the bag.
Step 5:Make sure there is no air in the bag then close the bag now smash the oreo inside the bag.
Step 6:Put the smash up oreos in the bag into the cup then mix it around.
Step 7:Put the gummy worm in the cup then eat with your spoon.
Step 8:Enjoy.

Vincent Van Gogh

Vincent Van Gogh was born in 1853 and died in 1890.
Vincent is a painter.
Vincent was 12 when he become an artist.
He looked up to Millet, Theo, Gaughn.

We have been making our own sun flower.
First we used our rubbers for a our outline then we use pasttle to colour the inside.

Buddies

We have been working hard on our buddy. Our buddy is nine years old. His name is Freddy Gills and he likes to BMX. BMXing is his favorite sport is to BMX. It toke a long time to make our buddy but we got it done. Fred Gills wears a black t-shirt with a blue nine on it and he has black pants. He also wears white gloves and a helmet.

Fractions and Maths

In maths we are learning to  put  fraction's in order to smallest to biggest.

Speeches

Last week we did speeches. My speech was about a soccer player called Tyler Boyd.

Im proud of my speech because i was really brave and did not give up.

Swim for life

Cross Country

Last Friday the we had Cross Country. I was so nerves I had the butter flys. when we started I was first but then Ben, Fabian and George got in front of me but I still had a chance. As soon as we hit the the corner I slow down but I kept going. We ran 2ks. What I found hard was the second lap. I'm proud of coming 4th. I enjoyed finishing.

Dianne Rodgers

Last Wednesday Dianne Rodgers came and was talking about the Commonwealth Games. Dianne went to the Commonwealth Games. Dianne did 1500 meters and 3000 meters run. Did you know the team Dianne was in there where over 200 people? When Dianne was little she played netball.

Doug Wilson

Doug Wilson came to room 14 to tell as about his books. We ask him some question and he told all the answers. Doug Wilson is making a new book about room 14 I wont my nick name to be Dirty because i like getting Dirty. Also Doug Wilson gave as two books that no one has read.

Space Dave

Last week on Thursday Space Dave came to teach as about space. I learnt if you jump into a black hole you will stretch and snap another thing i learnt is that space ships only can go as far as the national space ship and last fact the second biggest plant is Saturn. My favorite plant is Neptune.

Geometry

This term we have been doing geometry. I like finding out about shapes like cube, sphere, triangular prism, pyramid, cylinder, cone and cuboid.  I learnt prism are long and pyramids are tall. Shapes are fun to play with.

ANZAC poem

I saw Turkish soldier’s firing death bullets towards me as I run up to the sand dunes, I heard whistling from the zooming bullets, I felt scared and afraid and wanted to run back to the boat, I smelt rusty red blood from my captain, I wondered if our troops will win.
